StartupCookie runs AEO content programs for B2B SaaS startups. We build the pages, the schema, the citation tracking, and the distribution layer so your B2B SaaS gets cited by ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews when prospects research your category. Typical cadence: 4-8 AEO-built pages per month, with citation tracking weekly. Starting at $5,000/mo, month-to-month. The principles are in our AEO playbook; this page is the implementation.
What we ship every month
- 4-8 AEO-built pages (guides, comparisons, listicles, definitional pages, or use-case pages) at 1,500-2,000 words each.
- Full schema markup on every page (Article + FAQPage + BreadcrumbList minimum; HowTo or ItemList where applicable).
- Hero image and 2-3 inline data visualizations per page, brand-locked.
- Internal linking refresh across your existing content.
- Weekly citation tracking across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Google AI Overviews for your 10-30 target queries.
- Monthly performance report: citations earned, pipeline-attributed traffic, AEO target-query share of voice.
The 7 elements we ship on every page
- Extractable lede (120-180 words, answers the page's primary question in the first 30 words).
- Answer-first H2s (each one a real query, each one answered in 60 words or fewer).
- Named entities (specific company names, real products, real cited stats).
- Sourced statistics (every stat traces to a URL the reader can click).
- Comparison tables and numbered lists (over-represented in cited answers).
- FAQ section with FAQPage schema (visible HTML matches schema text exactly).
- Freshness signals (year in the title, visible last-updated tag, schema dateModified set to today).
Who this is for
- B2B SaaS startups whose primary growth channel is content but whose pages do not appear in AI assistant answers.
- Teams that have done SEO and want to extend into AEO without rebuilding the whole content function.
- Founders who understand AI search is replacing Google for their buyers and want a structured response.
Who this is not for
- B2C or e-commerce. AEO applies but the calibrations are different.
- Teams without any existing content. Start with our broader thought leadership program; AEO works best on top of a content base.
- Teams that want a tool to use themselves. AEO is craft-heavy. If you want software, look at Lureon.ai or AIclicks instead.
Pricing
Starting at $5,000/mo for 4 AEO-built pages per month plus citation tracking. $10,000-$15,000/mo for 6-8 pages, the full citation tracker (DIY across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini), and competitor prompt mining. Custom pricing for teams with existing large content libraries that need a sitewide AEO audit and migration. Month-to-month, no long contracts.
Frequently asked questions
How long until we see AI citations?
14-28 days for Perplexity, 21-45 days for ChatGPT, 28-56 days for Google AI Overviews, 28-60 days for Claude. Anything faster is unusual; anything longer than 90 days suggests the topic does not have real query volume or the pages are missing one of the 7 elements.
What is the difference between AEO and SEO?
SEO optimizes for Google's ranked search-results page. AEO targets the answer an AI assistant generates. The signals overlap but weight differently. See our AEO guide for the full breakdown.
Do you do AEO on existing pages or only new ones?
Both. We typically audit your existing top 10-20 pages first, fix what is leaking citations (usually schema, lede, FAQ matching), then add new pages on the queries you do not yet rank for.
Can you guarantee citations?
No, and anyone who does is lying. We can guarantee that every page we ship hits the 7 elements above and validates against the AEO linter. The citation outcome depends on real query volume and the competitive landscape, which we cannot fully control.
What citation tracker do you use?
We start with the free Promptwatch Explore tier (10 prompts, ChatGPT, daily refresh) for new clients. For larger programs we run a DIY tracker across Perplexity Sonar, OpenAI's web search, Anthropic's web search, and Google Gemini grounding. The DIY tracker costs roughly $15-30/mo in API fees and lives in your stack, not ours.
